Please find below the list of Stock Market Holidays for the Indian Stock Market for 2023. These holidays are non trading days. Other than the below list of Holidays, Saturdays and Sundays are the regular holidays for the Indian Stock Market.
January 26, 2023 – (Thursday) – Republic Day
March 07, 2023 – (Tuesday) – Holi
March 30, 2023 – (Thursday) – Ram Navami
April 4, 2023 – (Tuesday) – Mahavir Jayanti
April 7, 2023 – (Friday) – Good Friday
April 14, 2023 – (Friday) – Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti
May 1, 2023 – (Monday) – Maharashtra Day
June 28, 2023 – (Wednesday) – Bakri Id
August 15, 2023 – (Tuesday) – Independence Day

Please note that Saturdays and Sundays are the regular holidays for the Indian stock market. Additionally, the exchanges may declare other holidays or non business days as and when required.
Stock Market Timings India
In Indian Stock market operates through two major exchanges – the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The market timings for the stock exchanges in India are as follows:
Pre open session: 9:00 am to 9:15 am
Normal trading session: 9:15 am to 3:30 pm
Closing session: 3:30 pm to 3:40 pm
The pre open session is between 9:00 am to 9:15 am. The pre open session is a 15 minute window where orders can be placed and modified but no actual trades take place.
The normal trading session is between 9:15 am to 3:30 pm. The session is for 6.5 hours and is the main trading window.
The closing session is between 3:30 pm to 3:40 pm. The session is a 10 minute window where the closing price of the stocks is determined.
It is important to note that the Indian stock market is closed on all Saturdays and Sundays as well as on certain public holidays.
